Eastern West Virginia Community Action Agency (EWVCAA) serves the residents of Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan and Pendleton Counties in West Virginia with services to help remove them from the causes of poverty.

EWVCAA provides services to help low-income families with immediate emergency needs, such as utility terminations, food pantry referrals, Weatherization and intensive case management to help us help others plan a way out of poverty.

Request Assistance

To receive assistance from EWVCAA, contact the office that serves your county. Participants should be prepared to complete an application, present one photo ID and one other form of ID, and provide social security numbers and proof of income for every household member.

Get Involved

You can get involved with EWVCAA and our mission by making a tax-deductible donation to support our programs, or by volunteering to help with seasonal activities such as food drives, Salvation Army bell ringing, adopting a family for the holiday program or other needs as they arise.

Resource Library

EWVCAA and our partner agencies in each county offer resources in many areas, from emergency utility assistance to Youth Opportunity Camp to Weatherization Services. Our goal is to make sure you have the opportunity to utilize all services in our region that can help in a time of need. Each county has a link to a resource directory with contact information for other agencies and organizations that serve your county.
